Bodega Catena Zapata Zapata Catena Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Tasting note:
Vintages Wine Panel: Sometimes the beauty is in the blend. Catena grows Cabernet Sauvignon in four different
vineyards at the foothills of the Andes, and each site produces grapes with unique nuances of
flavor. This Cabernet blends fruit from each site, creating a wine with a complex interplay of
cassis, spicy black pepper, eucalyptus and mineral notes wrapped in ripe, velvety tannins. My note: Made by one of Argentina’s leading producers, this elegant cab reveals notes of black fruit, roasted meat, cigar box, and black truffles. A long, memorable finish stays with you as you look longingly at your empty glass. Food matches: pepper steak, beef empanadas, seared tuna with a pepper crust, Peking duck, dark chocolate covered fruit.
