Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: May 22, March 7, January 4 and December 16.

Tasting note:

This wine needs time: it's a big brooding bruiser! Gorgeous aromas of black fruit and smoke with some mocha and cedar forest. Towering structure and great length on the finish. The wine was aged in 80% French oak and 20% American. The final blend is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc. Food matches: filet mignon.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Glenn Fawcett reviewed this wine as follows:

This wine exudes depth and complexity. I decanted a bottle of the 2008 before dinner and it blew my guests away. Wow!
I am very pleased with the 2008 Nota Bene and how it displays such a great spectrum of flavors. On the nose I pick up bright aromas of cassis, plum and raspberry. I get a rich and smooth sensation on the palate with notes of mocha, spice and forest floor. This wine has great balance and structure with a velvety mouth feel and a nice long finish.
