Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Dirkie Morkel (yes, it's his real name) is the resident viticulturalist as well as fourth-generation owner of this family estate. He works closely with winemaker Wilhelm Kritzinger to craft this remarkable proprietary cuvée. An excellent value, the 2003 is comprised of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% of Cabernet Franc. This savoury red features blackcurrant, cedar, vanilla and a hint of eucalyptus. Dry, full-bodied and well-balanced. My note: A full-on red that's Australian in style. Juicy and delicious. Food matches: smoked meats, grilled beef kebabs, applewood-smoked cheddar.
