Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
The 1996 vintage in the Rheingau produced fewer botrytis-affected wines than typical, meaning that winemakers had more fruit to choose from when crafting dry table wines such as this Riesling. Approachable and round textured, it offers citrus and pear fruit with a touch of clover honey.
