When I can't nail down what I want, I default to Apothic Red. It's a full flavored, fruity, spicy wines with hints of chocolate. And when I say "hints", I mean big hits. You can really taste the chocolate, but it's just enough to make the wine interesting. This wine is quite versatile and goes well with steaks, rotisserie chicken and even Mexican food. In short, I'd say it's a value wine with some character to it and definitely worth trying if you like bold flavors.
