Interestingly, the Germans call Pinot Meunier (the third grape of Champagne) Schwarzriesling (black Riesling). Little seen as a stand-alone grape, Pinot Meunier can be quite pretty as the lead. This example makes the case rather convincingly with its inviting aromas of black cherry, raspberry and blueberry. Dry and fresh, this is a pleasant wine. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
