Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (33%) and Cabernet Franc (2%) grapes offers savory and cedary notes wrapped around dark fruit. This wine needs cellar time but you'll be amply rewarded for waiting. Intriguing and delicious. Food matches: escargots with garlic sauce, buttery soft cheese, prime rib.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Gabriel Israel rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2007 Alvento Elige is a great example that Ontario can produce a very good Bordeaux blend. I had this wine with John M. He decanted it for 4 hours prior to us trying it side by side with the 2007 Alvento Emilie (which I liked as well). I found the flavors to be well integrated. Medium-full body. typical to the 2007 vintage. great representation of the grapes. pleasant finish. A very good value at $20. needs to lay down for another 2-4 years in the cellar and can be enjoyed for the next 10-12 years.
elige is a medoc style red wine. 2007 is very good vintage. the wine is still young, will be at its peak in two years and will last forever......
