Tasting note:

Stunning lemon brightness pierces through the rich voluptuous texture of this wine like sunlight through a cloud. Gorgeous notes of Asian pear and green apples are wrapped in toasty oak for a long, satisfying finish. Fall-for-it smokiness gets you right into the glass, then your engulfed in lemon and lime essence that is supported by an underlying richness. Full-bodied and balanced. I terrific wine for the money. Food matches: roast chicken, lobster in butter, corn dishes.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Matilde Parente rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A richer, less tart style of Sauvignon Blanc that still delivers lemony freshness with moderate weight and a smoky, lingering finish. Pairs beautifully with Meyer lemon shrimp risotto, white meats, lemon-dressed salads and appetizers.
Darlene Myers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

When I was taking my first wine fundamentals course, this was one of the wines we reviewed. The 2009 Chateau St. Jean La Petite Etoile Vineyard Fume Blanc is a mouthful to say, but a pleasant mouthful of wine on the palate. Crisp aromas of lemongrass and vibrant acidic flavours of kiwi on the palate. A winner in my mouth!
Most of this Sauvignon Blanc was tank fermented, but a portion received oak. That gives a welcome layer of smoky richness and vanilla to the beautiful, underlying Meyer lemon, lime, pear and green apple flavors that are so rich and mouthwateringly tart. A very drinkable, dry white wine. Score: 91 Source: Steve Heimoff, Wine Enthusiast
Vibrant aromas of fresh Asian pear, sweet citrus and jasmine blossom jump from the glass. The nose leads to a refreshing palate with distinct Fumé Blanc flavors of juicy fruit and floral notes.
