Tasting note:

This wine is a blend of 43.6% syrah, 43.5% grenache, 11.7% cinsault, 1.1% mourvedre and 0.1% carignane. I love the band-aid Bordeaux aroma I get first followed by cassis, blackcurrant and smoke, but most of all, earth. Full-bodied and complex.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Ryan Hindmarsh rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The name and label of this wine honors a classic french story. In 1954 some wine producers were quite nervous about extraterrestrials. So, the council of Chateauneuf-du-Pape passed an ordinance prohibiting flying saucers or “Flying Cigars” as they called them from landing in their vineyards and damaging the vines. The law allowed for immediate impounding of any Flying Cigars (Le Cigare Volant) that dare to land on their grapes. Le Cigare is a blend of traditional Rhone grapes and it is out of this world. (cmon, I had too).
Bright ruby. Smoky red berries, flowers and underbrush on the nose, with complicating notes of black pepper and licorice. Sweet red berry flavors give way to deeper bitter cherry in the mid-palate, which features notes of succulent herbs and a touch of smoked meat. Already showing good complexity, with suave finishing silkiness and a lingering note of raspberry. Score: 91 Source: Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar
