Tasting note:

VC: The 2005 vintage is widely acclaimed as one of the finest by industry authorities and Bordeaux enthusiasts. The exceptional quality did not just extend to the top producers, but to all strata of wineries in the whole region. The 2005 Château la Chandellière is a classic Left Bank Bordeaux blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. It won a Gold Medal at the 2007 Concours Général Agricole in Paris, France. My note: A pleasing Bordeaux with attractive notes of cherry kirsch, minerals, mocha and toasty oak. This wine will benefit from some aging and should nicely in two or three years. Food matches: beef bourguignonne, barbecued meats, cheddar crown bread, grilled cheese sandwiches, blue cheese.

Complementary recipes:

Serve this wine between 60-65 degrees Farenheit or 15-18 degrees Celsius.
