A lovely off-dry Niagara Riesling with notes of lemongrass and lime zest. Tawse has developed a much-deserved first-class reputation among Niagara winemakers. Pair with fresh seafood.

Riesling food pairings: roast chicken, spicy pasta dishes, shrimp tempura, grilled salmon.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Yum! A word I dare jot down quickly as I'm going through my tasting notes. In this case, a very apt descriptor! I love the zip of green apple on the nose and palate lifted with honey and blossoms - Springtime on the Bench. There's a hint of "rusty nail" (couldn't think of a better descriptor than this) and then comes the sweetness of oxidized apples lingering on the finish. Loved this beautiful wine. Complexity and superb craftsmanship at a bargain price in my opinion.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Alluring lemon, buckwheat honey, and pronounced new vinyl note dominate the aromas. It's almost water white in appearance. And HOLY WOW!!!! The palate shows juicy, mouthwatering citrus and stone fruit galore flavours including lemon, orange, green apple, apricot fruit. Acidity is high and mouthwatering and I expect nothing from a Niagara Escarpment Riesling. Enjoy with crispy greek calamari. Tasted Dec 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
From Ontario's Twenty-Mile Bench, this is the third release from Limestone Ridge, the organically and biodynamically farmed vineyard. There is mouth-watering acidity on this Riesling and it is a perfect match for seafood dishes such as seared scallops, or with mild vegetable curries. - Community Wine Reviews
