Huge, blockbuster wine with equally high alcohol for that full-on palate whack. Blackened fruit and toasty oak. Pair with brontosaurus burgers.

Shiraz food pairings: lamb cutlets, hamburgers, espresso and cocoa-rubbed flank steak, black bean soup, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a young, high alcohol-bordering-on-jammy wine. Big nose of black currant with a secondary cherry note. Lots of black fruit on the palate. Full bodied and smooth with a long finish. I would hold this for another year or two but if drinking now decant, give it some time to breathe and serve with a hearty beef dish. No contest that it delivers a lot for the price. Tasted Dec 2016
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This dark ruby shiraz has a gentle sweetness to its nose, with plenty of black fruit, cocoa, and pepper. These aromas repeat in the mouth with round mouthfeel. Good acidity and ripe tannins that will support a hearthy meal.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This adds new meaning to the word "full bodied". 15.9% alcohol, dark ruby red in colour, big fruit flavours of blackberry and dried cherry with some spicy pepper thrown into the mix. 51 year old vines and 24 months in oak. Big long fruit finish. Everything about this wine is BIG. If you want to be a "big" hit with your friends invite them over for burgers and pair with this Shiraz! Tasted July 24, 2016
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Dull, medium ruby in colour. Intense, baked red and black fruit aromas, with underlying eucalyptus notes. Full bodied, with a concentrated core of rich, ripe fruit and a fresh menthol note on the finish. Big and bold, with ripe tannins and moderate persistence.
