Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Apple, pear, beeswax, lees, and floral blossoms on the nose and palate. Very flavourful. Enjoy with grilled fish, or my favourite, BAJA fish tacos. Tasted September 2015. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely nose - hints of pear, apple and floral notes. The palate doesn't disappoint with lots of citrus coming through. Lovely accompaniment to lighter fish dishes.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lively and aromatic, this unoaked California Chardonnay presents aromas of golden delicious apple, ripe Asian pear, cantaloupe and fresh cut hay. The acidity is lively with a medium body. Flavours of the apple and pear repeat on the palate with a hint of straw on the finish. Tasted January 31, 2016.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Very pale straw in colour, with aromas of pear, almond, minerality, and apricot. A great acidity, but still soft in the mouth, yielding a bit of the more traditional Chardonnay character. The taste is bright, with lemon and yellow apple predominant.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lemon lime and a bit of minerality on the nose. Lemon-lime on the palate with a bit of softness. Longer finish. Perfect for chicken.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A lively Chardonnay! Pale straw in the glass, aromas of lime and fresh cut grass, with a round mouth feel, and a lingering lime finish.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale straw colour and gentle lemon-lime zest on the nose, following on the palate with the addition of a nice lees-y and nutty note to round out the flavour. Fairly persistent finish; an interesting wine!
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 77/100 with the following review:

A sharp Chardonnay…
Presentation: Like the logo but the rest is a little busy. I actually prefer the old label.
Appearance: Very light yellow
Nose: White peaches, vanilla,
Taste: Citrus, nutty, acidic.
Finish: Surprising acidity and citrus in the back.
Overall impression: A sharp Chardonnay that would pair well with seafood or spicy food.
Value: 2.5 out of 5
The Chardonnay grapes for this vivacious Prince Edward County white wine are grown in Hillier from the winery's Hungry Point vineyards. These were named for the historically meager crops that were the curse of local farmers trying to survive on the rocky, windswept soils where the low yielding, dry farmed vines are now planted. - Community Wine Reviews
