Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a lovely Grüner from Austria and an excellent find for the price. It smells of yellow apple, lemon, white flower and minerality. Don't let the light straw colour fool you. It actually is a bit heavier than expected on the palate, yet still has great mouthwatering acidity. The flavours on the palate reveal more apple, but also apricot, honeydew melon, lemon, pear and a hint of white pepper. The acidity is perfect for cutting through buttery or creamy dishes, but the weight of the wine and intense flavours will stand up to strong flavours in your dish. Try with shellfish or roast chicken.
Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The belief behind this award winning winery is cultivating the best locations and allocating varietals in their proper soils to obtain the best fruit possible. After all, top wines can only come from perfect grapes!
The fruit for this wine comes from the Kamptal wine region, more precisely the city of Langenlois.
Bright silvery yellow in color and a bit subdued on the nose but with a little air, aromas of clover honey, flower blossoms and fresh citrus juice emerge.
Dry with a hint of residual sugar on the palate creating a very harmonious balance with the acidity. Quite full in body with a typical oily texture, herbal, earthy with hints of lime and honey.
WOW!
Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Priya: If you like pinot grigio then I feel you will like this wine. It has a sweetness factor that balances the citrusy, lemony tartness quite nicely. Pairs well with spicy foods as well. 88pts

Alex: Very flinty nose here, peppery and lemony but otherwise not so expressive. The palate however is quite full, clean and pure with a lingering earthy finish. 89pts
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nose a bit closed, dusty with a floral note, but lovely and fuller on the palate with almond/marzipan, pear, lemon and a hint of smoke.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Light floral and pear notes transform on the palate with more earthy undertones, for a lingering, warm finish. Perfect with hard cheeses or spicy foods.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of white pear, apricot, and white flowers. There's a nice thick, oily mouth-feel, medium-high acidity, and a taste centred around yellow apple and apricot. Perfect for roast chicken.
