Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

An exquisitely balanced Chard from, where else?... Marlborough, New Zealand. Citrus, vanilla and brioche on the nose with a rich palate revealing layers of lime, guava, passsionfruit, vanilla, buttery caramel, toast and a hint of smoke. Medium-bodied, tantalizing acidity and long elegant finish. At this price, I would buy several bottles to have on hand and to give as gifts to your Chardonnay-loving friends this season.

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

There's no surprise that this is one of the top imported premium Chardonnay's in Canada, it's certainly one of mine, especially at under $20! Beautifully balanced, the winemaker has managed to produce a wine where everyone will find something to love in that bottle. Layers of orchard fruit, bread, and a hint of caramel and flinty minerality, this lightly oaked Chardonnay is creamy and refreshing and so harmoniously balanced. Pair with shellfish, creamy pasta, fish tacos, buttered popcorn (and a movie), or simply enjoy on its own. Another terrific value priced wine from Oyster Bay. Tasted December 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca **Limited time offer of $2 off at the LCBO until January 3, 2016...for a steal of a deal at $16.95**
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What a great wine! Perfect for those looking for an easy initiation into oaked chardonnay. Half of this chardonnay was oaked for six months, lending it some really nice and subtle oak characteristics like buttered toast and smoke, in addition to citrus, tropical fruit, and stone fruit (peach/apricot).

Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Offers a nose of floral and citrus notes with grapefruit and a hint of peach on the palate. Would pair well with baked whitefish.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Pale yellow, with apple, citrus and oak spice on the nose. Vibrant acidity and a medium body carries orchard fruit and citrus lemon to a medium long toasty/butterscotch finish. Very nice, and should appeal widely, especially when two dollars off at the LCBO for $16.95 until the new year. Fettucinne alfredo with grilled chicken would be a nice combo.
