Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is not your heavy, over-oaked Chardonnay. Pineapple and pear aromas, with an unexpected citrus zest makes this Chardonnay just right! Perfect with salmon or creamy pasta dishes.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

There's no surprise that this is one of the top imported premium Chardonnay's in Canada. Beautifully balanced, the winemaker has managed to produce a wine where everyone will find something to love about it. Layers of fruit, bread, and a hint of caramel, this lightly oaked Chardonnay is creamy and refreshing and so wonderfully balanced. Pair with shellfish, creamy pastas, turkey, or simply enjoy on its own. Another terrific value priced wine from Oyster Bay. Tasted November 3, 2014. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.nataliemaclean.com
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

If you like lots of butter on your toast, this one's for you! A delightful creamy chardonnay with a nose of vanilla, white peach, butterscotch and toast. The palate is rich and buttery, with slight citrus, very fruit forward and slight oak on the finish. Reflects the Marlborough terroir and known there as "The World's Coolest Chardonnay".
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium lemon colour. Refreshing and zippy. Green apple, citrus, pear, butter, toast, vanilla, lychee, dried apricot, perfume. A popular Vintages Essential. Lingering mouthwatering and warming finish. Classic NZ Chardonnay.
Drink now.
Food pairing: lox and cream cheese, salmon with dill sauce, soft cheeses, macaroni and cheese casserole

Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nov 23, 2014: Pale yellow, dusty, mineral, light floral, honeysuckle, honeydew, orchard fruits and light caramel. Refreshing on the palate with apple, citrus, lightly spiced, caramel, medium full, well balanced, good zip of acidity (no malolactic fermentation), mineral and a medium long caramel tinged finish. Haddock in a taragon cream sauce would be nice alongside a bottle.
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

I really enjoyed this Chardonnay from New Zealand with nice pear and pineapple aromas and flavours. I had it with mussels and fries and it was a terrific pairing.
Lillian rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

This is hands down my favourite relatively well priced white wine. Perfectly paired with fresh mussels, home made pasta tossed in truffle oil, chicken, or just paired with a charcuterie board with s variety of cheeses.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

A rich, structured Chardonnay with concentrated aromas and pure, incisive fruit flavours of ripe citrus and stone fruit, balanced with subtle oak and a creamy texture on the finish.
