Reviews and Ratings

Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Jammy blackberry-vanilla-spice nose - smells like it will be gooey, but surprisingly not - just smooth and easy, tending to the simple side. Those pesky tannins and acidity are perfectly corralled in this crowd-pleaser. Drink now with almost anything....
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

All the stewed fresh fruit notes that we've come to love in our California Zinfandel but not overly jammy on the palate. Medium-bodied, fresh acidity and a hint of black pepper on the velvety finish. Checks the $20 price performance box. Pair with BBQ favourites lathered in sauce.
Tasted: January 2016
This robust Californian red wine made from the state's iconic red varietal Zinfandel offers aromas of purple plum, brambleberry, and blackberry pie. The 2012 vintage of the McManis Zinfandel is juicy, smooth and accessible. Pair with barbecued meats. Since 1990, the McManis family has been making wine in California. This Zinfandel grapes were grown in the Lodi appellation east of San Francisco Bay. The wine was aged for 4 months in both French and American oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
