Love the cedar-spice notes that wreathe the dark red berry aromas on the nose. Layers of supple, full-bodied flavour. Terrific balance and length. This blend or cuvée is matured in oak for about a year and leads with syrah. Attractive black plums and cedar spice on the finish. Decant 1-2 hours.

Food pairings: lamb cutlets, chicken, beef bourguignon, Tourtière.

The 2013 Costières de Nîmes is mostly Syrah with a bit of Grenache in the mix. Cedar-spice aromas and full-bodied, juicy dark fruit complete the wine. The wine was matured in oak for less than a year. Decant for an hour prior to serving if you drink it now, but it can cellar another five years to further develop and mature. - Community Wine Reviews
