A smoky, full-bodied Spanish red wine with dried herbs, dust and earth. Not fruity. Smooth and offering a long finish. Classic. Leather aromas, love it.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Leather, herbs, cedar, and dried cherry aromas make this an excellent wine for those who feel the fruit is frequently over-done. The taste is nice and dry, again with dried cherries and plums. There a little tannin and a long herb and spice finish. An exceptional wine for the price.
The 2008 vintage of the Spanish red wine Hacienda Lopez de Haro Crianza is a blend of 93% Tempranillo and 7% Garnacha grapes. This robust wine was matured for 18 months in French and American oak barrels. The vines grow on the hillside of the historic village of San Vicente de la Sonsierra flanked by the River Ebro. - Community Wine Reviews
