Love it! Tart cherry notes with tarry blackness and a bitter finish, but it's great! Coming into its own, this robust red wine with nuances of dark fruit and smoke makes for a wonderful dinner companion. Lovely balance and fleshiness with lovely black cherries bobbing on a summer wind in the grove and violets swaying at the base of the trees. Of course, those cultivars may not actually exist in nature, but they do in my mind.

Reviews and Ratings

Brunello di Montalcino is a robust, tarry wine that takes almost as long to mature as it's Piedmont cousin Barolo. Decant for 1-2 hours. Savoury, meaty notes mid-palate and on the finish. - Community Wine Reviews
