This Loire AC wine from Chéreau-Carré is joyously alive with mouth-watering acidity and lovely interplays of lime blossom, tangy orange zest and an apple bite. A consistently great producer of this style of white wine made from the Muscadet grape. Try it with clams or oysters.

Muscadet food pairings: steamed mussels, paired with pan seared scallops, freshwater fish.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A bright citrus nose with a palate of citrus and ripe pear. Crisp, dry, hi acidity-light citrus fruity finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon colour with lovely citrus and citrus zest. A nice cleansing finish of apple and minerality. Perfect for shellfish and seafood. Serve well chilled.
Tasted: February 2015
This French white wine by Chéreau-Carré was aged Sur Lie on its yeast which lends richness and creaminess to the lemon zest acidity here. Lovely floral and lime citrus lift. Pair this Muscadet Sèvre & Maine with shellfish. - Community Wine Reviews
