Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Crisp and flavourful. Very fruit forward citrus aromas on the nose; lemon, grapefruit and lime. The acidity is tamped down a bit by the secondary malolactic fermentation. Melon, peach and peach flavours with a long smooth finish. I'm a fan of Kim Crawford wines and this one doesn't disappoint!
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Tropical and unoaked, this Chardonnay packs a lot of flavour into every sip. Designed to please those who appreciate the Chardonnay varietal without masking its essence with wood. A crowd pleaser featuring tropical fruit, ripe pineapple and candied lemon and crisp green apple. @jonsteeves rated 89/100 - tasted Oct 2016 - www.bespoketastings.ca
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

If you've ever wondered what an unoaked Chardonnay tastes like, this is a good one to try, from the inimitable Kim Crawford. Citrus lime, pineapple and tropical guava show on nose and palate, along with a hint of butterscotch. The mouthfeel is squeaky extra-dry, with good weight and creaminess, even without the use of oak. Lingering rich finish.

Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Aromas of pineapple and melon with some butterscotch and lime on the palate. An easy drinking wine although I found the flavors were a bit on the light side.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A pleasant moderate nose with a balanced (surprisingly) off-dry palate. Dominant notes include orange peel, mango, honeydew melon, and citrus blossom. This wine is medium-light bodied with moderate acidity and a long candied orange finish. Enjoy with General Tso Chicken. Tasted Oct 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

An easy Chardonnay with a variety of flavours…
Presentation: Clean, classy, and distinctive. The brand is consistent and easily recognizable.
Appearance: Clear, pale intensity, lemon colour
Nose: Clean, medium-plus nose intensity, with notes of lemons, minerals, honeydew melon, and tropical fruit (pineapple, banana)
Taste: Off-dry, medium-plus body, high acidity, low tannins, dominant tropical flavours (pineapple, dried banana) and minerals, with a touch of yeast, lychee, and coconut
Finish: Long finish
Overall impression: A very good option, especially for those who prefer an unoaked expression of Chardonnay.
Value: 3.5/5
