Mocha dark chocolate on the nose from generous oak aging of this full-bodied red wine, followed by black fruit and smoke. Robust and very supple. Decant 2 hours. Drink it steak. Polished tannins with some coffee and dried herbs on a long finish of this unfiltered wine. This California red wine was aged 2 years in French oak and was not fined or filtered.

Food pairings: grilled strip loin, grilled portobellos.

This dry wine with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, leather and vanilla/nutmeg will not dissapoint! Drink now or cellar for a few more year to really get the most out of it.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
