Excellent quality and taste for the price! Toasty, refreshing and classic Niagara bubbly. Serve this at New Year's or a wedding with pride. Toasty with green apple goodness and a lovely and persistent mousse. This is classic and elegant with the right finesse for any celebration. Pair this zesty sparkling wine with lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters and grilled calamari seafood platter. This Ontario sparkler uses the traditional Champagne method and grapes to make the wine. It's a blend of Pinot Noir (70%) and Chardonnay (30%) grapes. Pair with potato chips and celebrity gossip.

Food pairings: caviar, tempura, sushi, smoked trout, shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A fantastic traditional method sparkling wine from the Niagara Peninsula! Jackson-Triggs' Entourage Grand Reserve 2011 Sparkling Brut is a fine example of the high quality value priced vintage sparkling wine that Canada's producing and excelling at. A recent Gold Medal winner at the WineAlign 2015 National Wine Awards of Canada (the Nationals), the price does not reflect the high quality of this aged vintage bubbly. A light golden yellow colour, evidence of it's nearly 3 years spent on the lees to extract colour, body, flavour, and aromatics, the nose is full of sweet green apple, citrus, and lime peel. A fine mousse covers and cleanses the palate leaving a fresh apple and mineral finish that persists until the next sip. Terrific with rich dishes, seafood, celebrations and those memorable toasts, this wine shows just how versatile quality vintage sparkling wine can be. Enjoy 2015-2020. Tasted October 2015. 91 points. Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Inviting aromas of floral, orange peel, honey crisp apple, pear, and melon spark from the glass. On the palate the Entourage shows scrumptious flavours of fresh orchard fruit, orange and a touch of baking spice (nutmeg). Acidity is mouthwateringly high with a crisp mouthfeel and short clean finish. This is an incredible example of traditional method sparkling wine from the Niagara Peninsula. The price point is even more exciting. What a value! Pair with friends and holiday gatherings this season.
Ashley Quesnel rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Produced using two of the three classic grape varieties of Champagne; Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This wine spent 3 years ageing on the lees and has complex aromas of lemon zest, red apple, mineral and brioche. This bubbly is full flavoured and complex with a fine mousse. Pair with fried calamari, charcuterie or enjoy it with friends and loved ones while ringing in the New Year. Exceptional value. The Grand Reserve is a shining example of the style of bubbly that Ontario is capable of producing.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Ontario makes some excellent sparkling wines. This wine is made in the traditional Champagne Method and grapes - Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. This sparkler spent two years "en tirage" or "on yeasts" which gives that yummy bread note in the wine. Green apple, stone fruit, hint of floral, yeast. Delicate and persistent mousse. Tastes more expensive than it's $23 price tag. Feel confident serving it to your entourage New Years Eve. Cheers!

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

True champagne-style sparkling. Mushroom, brie, lemon, crushed granite. Fine mousse. Earthy mushroom flavor, finishing with apple, pear, and yeast.

Pair with: rich cheese-stuffed mushrooms, soft cheeses, oysters, caviar.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

If you are looking for a sparkling wine to celebrate the Season, this Jackson-Triggs Entourage, Grand Reserve is a high-quality sparkling at excellent value. Lots of biscuit, tart apple and citrus on the nose with a clean, palate-cleansing finish. Tasted November 29, 2015.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale gold with pinkish hue, small bubbles in the glass. Over two years aging on the lees provides ample biscuit notes along with apple and citrus to this Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend. Lovely mouse on the palate and very good complexity for the price to this traditional method sparkling wine with a kiss of sweet to the apple, citrus and toast.
This is sure to impress and great value - worth stashing several away for your New Yers's Eve party. 90+

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A really nice and well priced Sparkling wine. Aromas of biscuit, crisp apple, and lemon zest. Refreshing and crisp on the palate. Enjoy with a variety of dishes or for ringing in any special occasion.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Entourage Grand Reserve Brut from Jackson Triggs is a traditional method sparkling from the Niagara Peninsula VQA, 12.5% ABV and brilliant platinum colour in the bowl. Aromatics of baked bread, apple, stone fruit, and wet limestone minerality. This is a great value wine and a party pleaser to say the least. Ready to enjoy.
