Very juicy cherry-berry fresh and ripe, with that natural fruit sweetness in this dry wine. Some smoky oak. Medium-bodied, supple, juicy and lovely. Enticing mix of spice and fresh earth on the finish.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled beef and mushrooms.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Reliable, approachable, accessibly priced, well balanced, integrated. Fantastic mouthwatering high acidity, food friendly. The 2012 vintage is drinking well. An accessibly priced cool climate Pinot Noir with crowd pleasing attributes of tart cherry, and secondary notes of cranberry and pomegranate. The silky medium tannins are sensuous. Paired well with Greek lamb kebabs and equally well paired with teriyaki salmon. Tasted the 2012 vintage in Feb 2018. 91 points
Produced by Delicato Family Vineyards, this Californian Pinot Noir is produced by two brothers who as children spent their days helping their grandfather in the vineyards. They swore they'd never come back once they went away to college and career, but as they say, life (and this wine) is full of irony. - Community Wine Reviews
