A silky, medium-bodied red with aromas of tart cherries and field raspberries. Mouth-watering and very versatile with food, from planked salmon to roast chicken. A satisfying long finish.

Pinot Noir food pairings: thyme and mushroom soup; pulled pork sandwich; rosemary grilled lamb leg; cherry compote with a bloomy rind cheese like camembert or brie; salt roasted beets with fresh goat cheese/chevre..

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I think Canada will become known for it's Pinot Noir, because the grape loves our cool climates. This Inniskillin Pinot Noir stands out as one of my favorites. So much so I featured it in one of my weekly wine blogs. Fresh and fruity, with a hint of spice - this wine will go with a lot of different foods, I also enjoy it with barbecued chicken.
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc offers up ripe raspberry, currants, tobacco and a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Nice depth and concentration, with a medium-full body and ripe, chewy tannins. Touch of dried cranberry on the finish. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Nov. 2012
This Pinot Noir shows a wine with both complexity and concentration. Aromatics of leather, tobacco, and black cherry are abundant on the nose. The palate is full of ripe berry fruit including cranberry, strawberry and chocolate with hints of spice carrying through to a balanced elegant finish.
