Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This Chardonnay is a beautiful example of complexity, balance and restraint. A clean nose with some oak; taut on the palate with some creaminess; hints of pear and vanilla. All gentle presences that could be overpowering left unchecked. Lovely silky mouthfeel. This is a Chardonnay Ontario can be proud of. Tasted April 2017
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A delicious Chardonnay from one of my favourite wine regions in Canada, the Beamsville Bench. Organically farmed grapes from their estate vineyards help make this wine so delicious and unique. Creamy and refreshing, this is a full bodied Chardonnay that would be ideal with Thanksgiving dinner, mushroom risotto, or smoked salmon. Tasted August 2015. 91 points. Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From Beamsville Bench, Ont VQA this full-bodied Chardonnay made from organically grown grapes opens with a soft nose of tropical fruit and butterscotch, then a rich palate turns up the volume, repeating the nose with coconut and a touch of lemon to keep it lively. Dry with well-integrated flavours and a long lemon/tropical finish.

Pawel Cebo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great!
Toffee and freshly buttered bread lead on the nose of this Niagara white wine along with peach and pear on the palate. Good acidity and minerality. Hidden Bench's estate Chardonnay is made from select parcels from three organically farmed estate vineyards. They are low yielding vines that concentrate the flavour of the grapes. The wine is fermented with natural indigenous yeast then aged in French oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
