Grüner veltliner is one of those varietals that is a nice surprise every time I get reacquainted with it. This one is a high-acidity offering, with the heat of white pepper, the acidity of grapefruit and a floral note. Some unripe pear or peach and green apple in there too.

The Gruner Veltliner is the most planted grape in Austria and, because of that, considered the signature grape of that European country. Discreet nose of white grapefruit. Peppery retro. Nice mouth. Easy to drink. Interesting wine at an interesting price. Would pair it with indian food.

Steely minerality, bruised orchard fruit, and sweet clover lead the charge on the nose with breezy florals joining in. Tart lemon with white grapefruit dominate the palate and confirm the pleasing acidity you can feel in your cheeks. A nice medium light body will help this wine stand up to food. Refreshing for a hot sunny day or a great companion to pates and charcuterie with nuts and firm cheese on the side.
