Loaded with rich dark berries and mocha aromas. A full-bodied, balanced palate gives way to dried tobacco leaves and blackberries on the finish. Gorgeous!

Date Picked: 30th October 2007
Fruit Condition: Extremely Healthy
Handling: Hand Picked into small 25 kg picking bins allowing the fruit to arrive at the winery’s sorting table intact. Fruit was hand sorted, crushed and destemmed.
Fermentation: Fermented with commercial yeast strains ICV-GRE, BM-45 and wild yeast. Fermentation took place in small ½ tonne vats. Primary fermentation took 18 days in total. Pressed into barrel and inoculated with commercial malolactic bacteria.

Cellaring potential: 5-7 years
Tasting notes:
Shows deeper than normal colour. The nose is generous with toasty, charry oak, floral notes and raspberry fruit. Medium weight, sweetish and rounded on the palate, with very soft tannin. Considerable alcohol heat. Good to very good length.
