A sensuous, seductive red wine with mocha and black fleshy fruit in the nose that follows through on the palate. Full-bodied with lots of character and life. Love the espresso finish. I drool with I think of this wine paired with a coffee-rubbed steak.

Tempranillo food pairings: goat, leg of lamb with garlic, vinegar, and olive oil.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, cedar, dark chocolate and more. The taste is even better than the aromas, with a very nice balance of fruit, oak, and acidity. Great with steak, but also with a bitter green salad with balsamic vinegar.
Only 10,000 cases were made of this wine which is based 100% of the Cencibel grape otherwise known as Tempranillo, classic for the region. The wine aged for five months in French and American oak. Great price-quality ratio. - Community Wine Reviews
