Solid Italian red wine for the money. Rich, dark and bursting with black fruit flavour and mocha and dark chocolate from oak aging. Supple and full-bodied and ready to go now. Crack one open on the next movie night. Pair with roast beef or meat lasagna.

Food pairings: braised pork shoulder in Chianti sauce, slow-roasted lamb shank.

Reviews and Ratings

Jacqueline Cochrane rated this wine as 90/100
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Wow, what a steal for under $15. Very expressive wine, with dried fruit, smoke, and spice on the nose. Repeat on the palate. Medium bodied and dry, this is a great value priced wine to enjoy with pasta dishes. Tasted April 2015. 88+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
An amazing Italian red wine for the money! Alessio Di Majo Norante established this Italian winery 1968, and now the estate has a reputation for being one of the best in the Molise region, the country's smallest wine growing district. Pair the 2013 vintage of their Sangiovese with a rare steak. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
