Black fruit and a fresh eucalyptus lift on the nose of this robust red wine, with toasty oak and dark spice notes. The palate has a good grip and more satisfying fleshy black fruit flavours. Smoky with a great finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this wine were sourced from the estate's Remolinos Vineyard. Pair with spicy ribs or steak fajitas.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: pizza, pasta, rare steaks, pork tenderloin, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Grapes are sourced from the Remolinos Vineyard. The word Decero means from scratch and reflects the soil and terroir of the Andes Mountains at the base of which these vineyards are planted for this big red wine from Argentina. Planted at 1,050 metres above sea level, this is Mendoza's prestigious sub-appellation of Agrelo. The Remolinos Vineyard takes its name from "remolinos" -- little whirlwinds that thread their way throughout the vines drying the grapes for better harvesting and maturity. This wine was aged for 14 months in French oak barrels. Pair with beef brisket or pulled pork. - Community Wine Reviews
