This full-bodied red wine has lip-smacking delicious aromas and flavours of black and purple fruit. Smooth and supple. Love the fact that this big shiraz is not filtered, giving us the full-on flavour experience. Try is with lamb and rosemary.

Shiraz food pairings: potato, chickpea and lentil green curry, spaghetti with clams, mussels and bay scallops, saffron potato cakes.

Pure unfiltered awesomeness from Barossa. This has almost as much vibrant life as the Lioness, from McLaren Vale, but with a ton more brooding, hedonistic concentration. It was aged in used French oak to ensure balanced flavours and it was fermented in big open-top traditional fermenters.
Concentrated plum and ruby.
The aromas are full on with tilled earth, stony minerality, black and white pepper, damson, blueberry, bramble, tobacco, and licorice allsorts.
The flavours explode with ripe fruit, acidity, and intense concentration. Fleshy plum and berry, chocolate, smoke, vanilla, and forest floor. Exactly what you would want from Australia at this price!
This wine is an ideal example of bargain Aussie wines that would make good cellar choices. It has the guts and the freshness to withstand some time in bottle to mellow and integrate flavours.

From Dandelion Vineyards, Lionheart Of The Barossa (2015) is a robust, dry red wine made with Shiraz wine grapes sourced from 100 year old Barossa Valley vines. This Shiraz is unfiltered, so expect full on, ripe blackfruit, blueberry and soft savoury and sweet spice flavours. Tannins are rounding. Simply a lovely, well-balanced and structured wine from this winery established in 1979 by the late Peter Lehmann. Peter Lehman was recognized for his impact on the Australian winemaking industry and was appointed to the Order of Australia. In 2009, he was awarded the International Wine Challenge Lifetime Achievement Award. This vintage was awarded Blue Gold Medal from the 2017 Sydney International Wine Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
