Lots of sweet oak and vanilla spice on the nose followed by sweet cherry flavours on the palate of this smooth medium-bodied Californian Pinot Noir from the cool climate of Monterey. Pair with grilled chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled lamb chops, stuffed, baked breast of veal, hard cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

From Monterey, California, a light garnet Pinot Noir with aromatic wild strawberries, milk chocolate, vanilla and forest floor, repeated on a luscious palate with trace of pepper. Mouth-watering acidity and loads of flavour, with a lingering finish that you don't want to end. Pair with grilled duck breast or just sit back and enjoy this beauty.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Pinot is showcasing major cherry berry, vanilla and spice notes. The palate is light bodied, easy drinking with moderate acidity and a long lingering cherry chocolate truffle flavoured finish. Tasted Jan 1017 - @sommsosa
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A little jammy with some lifts of pepper and vanilla. Florals take a secondary role with some underbrush and warm spices. Not overly complex without calling this wine simple either. Easy sipping and light (+) body with fresh acidity. Pleasant.
Tasted: February 2017
Pinot Noir does well in cool-climate Monterey, California and Craftwork does well with this (2013) Pinot Noir they have treated with kit gloves. This PN is balanced, lots of fresh cherry, raspberry notes with some light herbal notes and toasty, savoury finish. This PN would be a perfect pairing to roast duck, Cornish hen or wild-mushroom stuffed quail. - Community Wine Reviews
