Reviews and Ratings

Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Black fruit and cedar aroma with blackberry, black cherry, mocha and a bit of clove on the palate. Nice refined tannins give a lingering finish. Pair with beef ribs.
Jeanette Mills rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep intense burgundy with violet edges. The nose consists of aromas of blackberry and plum, with hints of forest floor, and mushroom. The brambly fruit is apparent in the first sip, along with notes of blueberry. This wine is well balanced, finishing with smooth tannins. This is an excellent Fall / Winter wine and could be paired with barbecued prime rib, grilled potatoes and vegetables.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A lovely mix of cherry, floral (violets) and baking spice on the nose. The palate shows flavours reminiscent of the aromas while introducing a dried fruit note. This is wine is off-dry (perceived due to its ripe fruit concentration). Tannins a are smooth with moderate acidity and a long ripe fruit and spice finish. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
David Skinner rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A blend of 60% Syrah, 27% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Viognier, 2% Malbec, 3%.
Dark ruby with a tight purple rim. Spice, plum, blueberry and floral notes on the nose. In the mouth red fruit and chocolate are complimented by subtle tannin, medium acidity and full body. A medium finish

Serve this with red meats or grilled portobello mushrooms and eggplant.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A really nice blend, primarily Syrah and Merlot, with a touch of Viognier. Ripe cherry and a touch of smoke mingle with a fragrant floral note (rose petal!). Fruit and floral notes are quite balanced. Medium to full bodied, with some smooth tannin and a nice plush mouthfeel would make this a great wine for anything you are throwing on the grill.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

H3's Les Chevaux is a blend of Syrah and Viognier. Sweet dried fruit on the nose, reminiscent of Port. The palate is velvety smooth and dry, with low acid allowing the sweet dark cherries, dried fruit, and cedar to persist on a smooth long finish. Tasted June 2016. 88 points. Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

Alex: Bright liquorice, raspberry, clove and coconut here. Dense and quite sweet on the palate, with a lot of oak and alcohol. Very little acidity, made in a fruit-juicy style, and feels a bit manufactured to me, but will align with fans of this style. 80pts
This robust Washington State red wine is a blend of 60% Syrah, 27% Merlot and several other lesser amounts of red grapes. Smooth and tasty. Perfect for meat lovers' pizza. Community Wine Reviews
