Dark chocolate, smoke and bacon on the nose and palate. Savoury, hearty and robust great: this gloriously rich and concentrated South African Shiraz shows just how magnificently the country handles this varietal. The vines are planted at high altitudes. Finishes with wild violets and longing.

Shiraz food pairings: meat lover's pizza, prime rib, roast quail.

While this wine offers notions of black fruit and floral elements on the nose, it's beauty really is on the palate. Lots of rich textures mainly rich viscosity. Finishes quite dry with fruit lingering along at medium power levels.

Tasted blind at wine club Nov. 15th 2017. Colour, ruby red, legs medium thick suggests about 13.5 to 14%. Aromas and flavours of, blueberry, plum, blackberry, black cherry, chocolate. Taste, dry, fruity plus, medium plus body, soft tannin, mouthwatering, balanced alcohol. Finish, medium plus mouthwatering fruit. I liked this wine it was my number one choice of the 5 wines we tried. They group had this as a tie for first also.
What appealed to me was the mouthwatering a fruit taste, just leads you to drink again.
I could drink this on its own or pair it with a game meat.
Cederberg wine cellars, is located on the Olifantsriver, wine route in South Africa. Cederberg lays claim “to having the Cape’s highest lying vineyards, is situated in the heart of the majestic Cederberg Mountains, the third oldest proclaimed wilderness area in South Africa.”

Cederberg (2015) from the Cederberg wine region in South Africa is a savoury and hearty Shiraz with ripe blueberry, mulberry notes and peppery spice on the palate. This full-bodied South African red wine won a Grand d'Or medal at the 2012 Michelangelo International Wine and Spirit Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
