Expressive aromas almost leap out of the glass: bright black cherry, dark plum and violets. Smooth, seductive and medium- to full-bodied on the palate. Savoury notes and some dark spices on the finish. Absolutely lovely. Pair with roast chicken or grilled pork chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Oregon is the home of Nike and more ghost towns than any other state in the United States. Perhaps that is why the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals like to make Carabella Pinot Noir go swoosh as it disappears from the bottle. Carabella is smooth and harmonious which is why the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals love to pair it with Pink Martini, a smooth and harmonious "little orchestra" from Portland. Pink Martini's "Let's Never Stop Falling in Love" is a good backdrop for Carabella's pinot noir because Oregon is romantic--it was founded on Valentine's Day and is the first place harbour seals reproduced in captivity.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
