Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A terrific little Sauv Bl hailing from the Leyda region in Chile and super well-valued. Marlborough, you better watch your back! The appearance of this wine could easily be mistaken for water. It is pale-water white with thin fast moving tears as you give it a swirl in the glass. The Boya carries clean developing aromas of lime zest, green veg (jalapeños, canned peas), grapefruit and a touch of tropical fruit (passion fruit). The dominant flavours are tart granny smith apple, lime zest, and mineral. This wine has extra high acidity, it is bone dry and light bodied. The tartness in the finish is quite long so pair acid with acid - ceviche, goat cheese or salads with a vinegar based dressing.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From Chile's Leyda valley, a Sauv Blanc with a nose of gooseberry and grassy notes, followed by a palate with lots of grassy notes, lemon and tropical fruit. Mouth-watering acidity and a long citrus finish.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Super crisp and refreshing with tart exotic fruit, loads of herbaecous notes, fresh cut grass. A great value priced Sauvignon Blanc that would complement a wide array of dishes, from salads to spicy Asian dishes. Give it a taste and see for yourself. Tasted August 2015. 88 points. Boya Vineyards are influenced by the Pacific Ocean' moderating and cooling breezes. The cool temperatures allow grapes to ripen slowly and develop complex flavours. There's almost a salty, saline tang on the finish here. - Community Wine Reviews
