This stunning Nova Scotian dessert wine is named in honour of the Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis. It features luxurious aromas of apricot preserves, marmalade and clementine jam. Winemaker Jean-Benoit DesLaurier has demonstrated superb craftsmanship that hedonists will appreciate. Pair with star gazing and fruit flans, cobblers and crumbles.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This is one of my favorite Ice wines, and it's made right here in Nova Scotia. Named after the Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis, head winemaker Jean-Benoit DesLaurier says this wine, like the Borealis, requires the perfect moment. They wait until the temperature drops below -10 degrees Celsius. This golden-colored beauty has luscious flavors of apricot and caramelized apples. It will pair well with your favorite dessert, but in my opinion, it's the perfect dessert all on its own.
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This is a Vidal (100%).

Deep golden color with powerful aromas of peach, apricot, muscat and honey.

This wine is Nerve, complex and long on the palate.

Pair it with bleu cheese or with a dessert not too sweet like an apple pie.

Serve it at 6-8 degrees.

Enjoyable now but can be aged 6-8 years yet.
