Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

I must confess that i have always had a week spot for an Errazuriz. I think it was the first time i had tried a wine that was a bit chalky and dried my tongue out, but it was so appropriate that i couldn't wait for the next sip! This Errazuriz is consistent yet refreshingly new.
I read a few different reviews on this wine, from the wine maker to the freelance reviewers and surprisingly not many of them were consistent. So either this wine is a chameleon, or we have extreme variations in our taste buds. One review said strawberries and coffee whilst another says liquorice and blueberry, so it was simple…i had to have a taste!
The smell i inhaled upon swirling my glass was most definitely that of blackcurrants, the look of it, rich dark blackberry. For sure i am siding with the dark rich fruits! The first sip is very mineral which slips into a delicate floral before releasing a punch of dry woodenness that i love from the Errazuriz wines. This is a Syrah, so of course the full bodied spices and black pepper were dancing in celebration on my tongue as the tannins continued their journey!
I literally feel like i am drinking one of the great creations from the earth…delicioso !

A delicious, hearty chilli with a baked potato and sour cream would definatley accompany this full bodied beauty!

Bottoms up!
