Reviews and Ratings

Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Nov 7, 2013: This is available from Vintages on-line bin end. This is an Okanagan 5 grape Bordeaux blend, medium garnet with some bricking showing its 8 yrs. The nose presents stewed and dried fruit, prune, dark chocolate, leather, soya sauce, beef broth, sage, wood spice and a tawny/oxidized note. On the palate, dried raisined fruit, prune, savory, spice and a little peppery. The tannins are fine, resolved and light with good acidity. Finish is medium long and savoury with dried cherry and spice. Tough wine to score as it comes off more like an old school Rioja than Bordeaux blend, and I can see people loving or hating it. I'm closer to loving it, and for $19 I think it's well worth a try for something different.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
