Pure blackberry pie in a glass... nice dessert wine that finishes with some orange zest. This fortified wine is made by the Massandra winery, one of the most well-known producers in the Ukraine. Massandra winery was founded more than a century ago to make wine for the Tsar when he was at his summer palace near Yalta. Try it with biscotti.
Muscat food pairings: nut bowl, blue-veined cheeses. Desserts.

|Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:|
Pale garnet in colour, this sparkling dessert wine has mouth-coating flavours of raspberry, cassis, caramel, butter, fruit cake, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and mint. The flavours last on the complex, warming finish.
Enjoy today with coffee or black forest cake.
Date tasted: March 2014.
