Black Hills Estate Winery Nota Bene 2010
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.

|Valerie Stride WSET ADV rated this wine as 4.6/5 with the following review:|
A challenging year for any grower in BC's interior, this vintage was a labour of love. A long cool summer followed by a hotter early fall meant grapes were able to ripen nicely. This vintage is comprised of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 11% Cabernet Franc. A gorgeous blend of garnet and ruby colours, this wine will leave you entranced. Vivid cherry and plum notes stand proudly beside cranberry and cola. Hints of vanilla and coffee are most detectable. In the mouth, this wine is showing a bit hot, although it didn't disturb the balance of the wine. Blackberry cream, dark currant, leather, and wet tobacco were just a few of the fantastic characteristics I found. Bravo! 14% abv.
