Natalie's Score: 89/100

Pure lime intensity on the nose, not herbal. Big acidity on the palate is perfect for your toughest dishes involving asparagus or artichoke. Medium-bodied and refreshing, but needs food.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: grilled fish, chicken breast in a white wine sauce with fresh asparagus.

More Wine Reviews and Ratings

This winery is certified for Integrity and Sustainability by Sustainable Wine South Africa. Aromas of orchard fruit, spring meadow and white asparagus. Juicy with a slight tang. Bright, fresh and restrained. Fans of NZ Savvy will find this to be a different, but exciting and worthwhile, take on the grape. The finish is crisp with a hint of underbrush and peach stone. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
