A full-bodied Niagara red wine blend of Cabernet and Merlot that could still use cellar time. Aromas of black fruit and toasty oak. Decant 1-2 hours and pair with a rare steak.

Cabernet Merlot food pairings: veal parmigiana, hearty pasta, Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful blend. declare 13.5% ABV. Deep and dark ruby red, complex, and well balanced, integrating tannins and alcohol nicely. Tasted the 2012 vintage family reserve in June 2017. Ripe red berry, BlackBerry, savory, tart pomegranate, baking spice. This one pair is exceptionally well with rare barbecued steak, beef tacos arrachera or an aged cheese platter. A great vintage for this cool climate Niagara blend. 92 points BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Delicious and elegant deep ruby red Konzelmann Estate blend of their Cabernet and Merlot fruit. Aromas are alluring with pronounced fresh red cherry, raspberry, savoury and spice notes, while the palate showcases silky smooth developed tannins, a tangy acidity, and scrumptious cherry, sweet spice (anise), and mild savoury notes. Enjoy this full-bodied red with grilled rib eye steaks. Tasted June 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Robust, but also possessing much subtle appeal, this blend strikes a perfect balance between its velvet tannin and ripe fruit aspect, which includes currant and black cherry. A charming black pepper spice brings this wine to its lengthy conclusion.

Rich, inviting aromas of ripe dark cherry, strawberry, fig, clove and pipe smoke. Medium body and a gorgeous velvety texture. Soft, round and approachable with that magical combo of bright acidity and fleshy tannins lending a precise framework for all that decadent fruit. Long, satisfying finish shows a touch of smoky spice. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
