Luigi Bosca Reserva Syrah 2006, Maipú, Mendoza, Argentina: Vintages Wine Panel: Bodega Luigi Bosca built its fine international reputation on Malbec, but the winery has shown a real flair with such classic French grape varieties as Syrah, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Look for lots of blackberry, bacon, black pepper and blueberry. It is rich and lush with good balancing tannins. My note: Full-bodied, hedonistic red with black fruit, dark spices and a gutsy, lively character. Exactly what you want to satisfy a savage thirst. 143412 14% D 750 mL $16.95 Score: 87/100.
