Bestheim Réserve Vieilles Vignes Riesling 2008, A.C., Alsace, France: Vintages Wine Panel: This is a not-to-miss value if you love the typically crisp, bone-dry versions of Riesling from Alsace. The nose is fairly complex featuring aromas of stony mineral, citrus fruit (particularly lime), yellow apple, floral and even a smoky note. It’s dry, medium bodied with a bright seam of acidity providing balance and a crisp, clean finish. My note: A dry, classic Alsatian Riesling with notes of lime and green apples. Crisp and refreshing. 141176 13% XD 750 mL $14.95 Score: 87/100. January 9, 2010 Full Review
