Siegel Crucero Reserva Carmenère 2008, Colchagua Valley, Chile: Vintages Wine Panel: Deep purple with ruby glints. Ripe blueberry, plum, pomegranate and vanilla bean on the palate. Dry, medium-full bodied and quite youthful, with grippy yet velvety tannins. Nice plush core of fruit too, en route to a spicy finish. This wine will age nicely into the near future (3+ years). My note: Rich chocolate slathered on yo fleshy ripe black plums. Smooth and luxuriously layered. Drink: 2011-2014. 237859 13.50% XD 750 mL $13.95 Score: 87/100. August 6, 2011 Full Review
