Glass Mountain Merlot 2005, California, United States: Vintages Wine Panel: The 2005 Glass Mountain Merlot offers value for money. The fruity nose offers raspberry, black cherry, sweet plum, spice and toasty oak aromas. It’s dry with ripe gentle tannins supporting the sweet/tart berry flavours leading to a satisfyingly dry finish. This wine embodies the idea of the “house red” in the best possible way. My note: Great taste/quality for the money. This easy-drinking, medium- to full-bodied red offers dark fruit on the nose.  135335  13%  D  750 mL  $12.95  Score: 84/100. January 9, 2010  Full Review
