Bouchard Père & Fils Pinot Noir 2008, A.C., Côte De Beaune-Villages, Burgundy, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Light ruby red with aromas of beetroot, incense, sour cherry, bacon fat and plum. Dry, youthful Pinot with quite elegant and lively fruit tones. A fine seam of acidity and moderate tannins bring balance to this well-made wine. Medium bodied with a very long, crisp, fruity finish. Will evolve in cellar for 2-3 years, but it really doesn’t need it as it will drink beautifully tonight. My note: gorgeously ripe fleshy cherries with huge mouth-watering action. Yes, this wine has acidity but it’s fantastic, especially with a variety of dishes from turkey to seafood. Drink: 2011-2015. 714998 13% XD 750 mL $25.95 Score: 92/100.
